As healthcare professionals, we are constantly required to meet the physical and emotional needs of our patients and their families. While this is an immensely rewarding career, one of the biggest challenges facing the profession of physiotherapy is burnout and compassion fatigue. Burnout affects the quality of care we provide and patient satisfaction. Work-related stress also affects our own physical and mental health, our relationships, and our personal lives.
Optimizing our wellbeing will allow us to increase our capacity to help others and to sustain a fulfilling career. In this webinar, we will discuss evidence-based strategies to optimize our wellbeing, from the fields of positive psychology and mind-body medicine.

Anna is a physiotherapist and workshop facilitator on clinician wellness and burnout prevention. Having experienced burnout first-hand, Anna understands how work-related stress can affect your enjoyment of your career, and how it can affect your mental and physical health, your relationships, and your personal life. Her mission is to empower clinicians with tools to optimize their wellbeing so that they can have a thriving professional and personal life. She is passionate about sharing evidence-based strategies backed by positive psychology and mind-body medicine.
She has previously delivered faculty development workshops on clinician wellness at the University of Toronto. She continues to guest lecture at the MScPT program on the topics of wellness and fostering a positive mindset. Her work in clinician wellness and burnout prevention has led her to speak at both local and national conferences.
