Train the Trainer Part 2 - Create your Course on Embodia
If you would like to provide a 'free preview' in your course, there are two options:
- Make a lesson a free preview. Learn how here.
- Make a category free. You will learn how to do this below.
If you make a category available for free, you will collect the name and email address of those who access the category.
Note: To make a category available for free, your course must be a paid course.
How to create a free category in your course
Go to your Course materials and then click on the 3 horizontal dots in the category:
Check the box Accessible for free and click Update:
What a free category looks like to a potential attendee
On your course page, there will be a banner at the top that indicates how many free sections there are. Below the Buy course button there will be hyperlinked text that allows the participants to access the free section(s):
How to find who has accessed the free category in your course
To find the information of those who have accessed the free category in your course, go to the course page and to the For admin section. Then click on the number of attendees:
You will see a Partial access tag next to anyone who has accessed the free category only (ie: who hasn't purchased your course yet):
