Overview

Musculoskeletal (MSK) pain is complex, and traditional exercise prescription models often fall short of delivering consistent outcomes. This course provides a comprehensive overhaul of exercise prescription for MSK pain, blending emerging evidence with practical clinical strategies to help clinicians optimize exercise dosing, progression, pain modulation, and patient-centred approaches.

Through current research insights and real-world applications, learners will enhance their ability to design, implement, and adjust exercise programs that support meaningful outcomes for people living with MSK pain.

Learning Objectives

  1. Reframe Exercise Prescription for MSK Pain
Understand the limitations of traditional exercise models and the evidence supporting modern approaches to exercise for pain.

  2. Optimize Dosing and Progression
Learn how to adjust exercise dosing, intensity, and progression tailored to individual patient needs and goals.

  3. Integrate Pain Science with Exercise
Apply pain neuroscience principles to enhance patient engagement, manage fear-avoidance, and support recovery.

  4. Support Long-Term Adherence
Discover strategies to promote self-management, motivation, and sustained participation in therapeutic exercise.
