Overview

In the case of two young and fit firemen, an L5/S1 disc herniation leaves these men with unresolved and disabling perineal symptoms that mimic pudendal neuralgia.  One has perineal and testicular pain and the other has rectal and tailbone pain.
How could a disc herniation at L5/S1 contribute to symptoms at S2-4?

Is it really pudendal neuralgia? What about the nociplastic components of their history?

Come and listen to two fascinating case histories that can only be resolved when we treat them from an orthopaedic, pelvic health and pain science framework.

Are you subjectively listening for and objectively measuring the logical components in your patient's complex histories?

Join Carolyn Vandyken for this online course 'Is it Really Pudendal Neuralgia Part 2 - Differentiating LBP & Pelvic Health Complaints.'

Learning Objectives

In these two case studies, you will learn to apply:

  1. A solid mechanical framework for assessing the low back
  2. A solid understanding of pudendal nerve symptoms as it relates to pelvic pain
  3. A solid understanding of nociplastic pain components for both acute and persistent pain presentations

To resolve your patients fully, you need to break down the silos between orthopaedics, pelvic health and the pain science divisions."

Audience

This online course is intended for all clinicians who treat musculoskeletal and/or pelvic pain.

This online course is the follow-up to Is it Really Pudendal Neuralgia Part 1. You will be offered the option to purchase both courses at a discount on checkout.
