Pelvic Physical Therapists excel at instructing patients on early rehabilitation exercises, however, they often feel stuck with exercise progression beyond Kegels and bridges.

Patients may plateau in their recovery, get bored of treatment or self-discharge if they are not meeting their functional movement goals.

Even if a patient is not an athlete, they still require adequate full-body strength to complete activities of daily living and recreational activities, which can include lifting and carrying babies and toddlers, hiking, dancing, returning to fitness classes or running.

Join Surabhi Veitch for this on-demand course 'Beyond Kegels - Elevating Pelvic Health with Functional Exercises!'

  2. Why you should include them, and

The instructors
Surabhi Veitch

Surabhi Veitch (she/her), owner of The Passionate Physio, is an experienced Toronto-based Orthopaedic & Pelvic Physiotherapist, FCAMPT and Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coach. Through in-person and virtual care, she specializes in supporting people through major life transitions like pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause. She aims to create a trauma- and culturally-sensitive space that welcomes folks from marginalized communities. She empowers her clients to reduce fear, trust their bodies, and get active, regardless of symptoms or diagnoses. Surabhi treats various conditions including back and pelvic-girdle pain, hip and knee injuries, urinary incontinence, urgency and prolapse. She also loves to help people prepare for birth, rebuild core and pelvic floor strength postpartum, and return to exercise, sport, and intimacy (which is also a physical activity!). She uses a whole-person approach to pelvic health, considering mental health, lifestyle, cultural and socioeconomic factors in treatment planning.

Surabhi believes most people could benefit from getting active and lifting weights. Her signature online BASE Fitness Membership helps folks strengthen the whole body through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Surabhi runs her own podcast, Mom Strength, and mentors fellow PTs in reducing burnout while achieving business and career goals. Surabhi tries to make space for her passions, which currently include dancing, eating good food, and chasing after her 2 amazing kids.
