About The Course:
The mission of the San Diego Pain Summit is to help clinicians learn ways to create frameworks based on current pain research so they can develop effective pain management programs for their patients. Together we are working to bridge the chasm to develop effective pain management programs for our patients.
This course was recorded at a multi-disciplinary conference where clinicians learn how to apply current pain research into clinical practice.

About The Instructor:
Ravensara S. Travillian, PhD, NA-C, LMP,
She has been a licensed massage practitioner in Washington state since 1992. In 2006, she completed her PhD in Biomedical & Health Informatics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She practiced at the Refugee Clinic at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for 7 years, providing massage therapy for pain relief, insomnia, and other symptoms for refugees living with the after effects of having survived war, genocide, and other forms of trauma.
Additionally, she has served the profession as a Board Member for the Massage Therapy Foundation, and as Chair of the Best Practices Committee, tasked with developing and communicating best practice guidelines to ensure that clients can depend that an entry-level massage therapist knows how to deliver effective massage therapy appropriately and safely.
